These wheels don't belong on the streets; they belong on race tracks. My experience driving this machine over three years for day-to-day use had its moments.

But first, this car is a lot of fun to drive. The engine's sound would make commuting to work something I actually looked forward to daily. However, the driving joy turned into an inconvenience as fast as this car could drive. 

The culprit: Summer High-Performance Tires. The wheels are staggard, and the RIM is low profile. 

Constant maintenance is the name of the game, which only means expense. I was driving with a lot of road noise from the wheels and my steering wheel vibrating all the time. The car was in the shop all the time. I got used to being told the wheels are bent and cupping. The tire life is under 10K miles and all four need replaced. The RIM can't handle New Jersey roads and crack easily. 

Every trip to the shop was over 5,000. It was cheaper to just buy another car, which I ended up doing. 

The Benz dealers should explain what you are getting into when selling these cars with these specs. The low sport's profile looks damn hot,

 and you go for the look. The wheel package 

is not cheap either. My last effort was to put all-season tires, but the RIM just would not 

cooperate, and the road noise from the 

wheels and vibrations ended my run on this fantastic car.

I joined AMG online forums and discovered I wasn't the only one. Many guys were looking to sue Mercedes Benz for their defected RIMS. Nevertheless, I connected with great people who shared a similar passion and were still searching for " the best or nothing."
